Happy House - a group of professional artistes, musicians and writers based in Hastings, East Sussex, was formed in 1992. Our skills cover a broad spectrum of different art forms.

• We work with the community on contemporary cultural projects, poetry, creative writing, making art, publishing,   performance, murals, etc. encouraging communication and creativity.

• We go out into the community and educational settings to work with individuals and groups of all ages.

• We believe that the arts have a significant part to play in the life of the community by providing opportunities for   people to express themselves, learn new skills, build confidence and enrich personal experience.

• We believe in the therapeutic rewards of creativity.
• We are committed to equal opportunities.
• Our aims are to encourage artists to develop and work with people to enable creativity and increase self confidence   and self esteem, and to work creatively with the community to dissolve barriers to social inclusion, using a range of   art forms and new technology.

• We provide community and educational workshops
• Combined art projects
• Writing and publishing
• Video, audio and digital art.
